If you found an issue, report it to this page in this format:

- where you found an issue
- version of Arma (e.g. Arma 3 1.54)
- version of this mod (e.g. 0.3)
- type of an issue (e.g. wrong placed tree, missing texture (name of it)
- if you make some pictures, it will be very easy to identify an issue

If you posting more than one issue in comment, please add numbers to each issue.
And use english, it is easier for me ;)

I was very excited to read that you are working on the next version. I hope to use the map in my next campaign.

All of this is v0.3, so I don't know if you fixed any of these already.
I am using the current non-dev version of Arma, I guess that's 1.54?

Also there were a ton of glitches around the Jupiter factory. I made videos of that, but I also realize it's on your to-do list so I didn't include them. Most of them were walking through walls, or being blocked from various outer areas near the buildings. Finally, a lot of objects around the power plant have no collisions, notably the hill next to reactor #4 you can walk on, but vehicles drive into the hill. I hope this is of some help, thanks.

I'll try fix all of these issues.
About factory - I placed the model only with basic collision. I add more detailed collision in future. The same I apply also for CHNPP. You must wait, I'm making this mod in my free time.

Is this map 1:1 scale? I was comparing it to Pripyat on Google maps and was surprised at how accurate it looked.
I really appreciate all of the unique buildings and exploring the ruins.

I know how it is with working on these massive projects in free time. My current campaign has been 6 months already, and I'm still working on the first mission... sounds terrible but I'm developing a lot of new scripts. So I have a long road ahead. Anyway happy to beta test your map.

Yes, map is 1:1. But of course some models of buildings aren't realistic because they are from Stalker game series but I'm trying to make it as real as it is possible.

If you look around you will see it. For example some Bricks looks like it is vertical but all construction should be horizontal. Otherwise, very beautiful map. Looking forward to the next update.

Hey! I really like this mod and this is a great map! I am currently working on a Day-z ish mission file for my buddies to play on..however, I cant get any loot to be spawned inside the map's buildings! If someone could help that would be great!


Note: I understand mostly nothing about scripts but with youtube I can manage to make a decent mission...so pls reply in a way that I can understand...

Opening map with Eden editor and running map from Eden editor. Rarely when traversing map in Eden editor (around CNPP area?).
- version of Arma:

Map version 0.4 (both website version and steam version)
- type of an issue:
Box opens saying "picture chz\chernobylzone\data\ui_chernobylzone_ca.paa not found"
Closing box seems to have no adverse effect (that I have noticed.)

Thanks for report. Try this: go to your CHZ mod dir, open addons dir and delete file chernobylzoneA2.pbo and launch game.

Thank for the advice, but it didn't change anything, however, I noticed that there are actually three different error messages. Not knowing much about actually making an Arma map, and having a glance through the file structure, they look like pathing errors to me:
"Cannot load texture
Chz\chernobylzonetexture02\terrian\terrian_stancia.paa"
"Cannot load texture
Chz\chernobylzonetexture02\trees\trees_fuflo.paa"
"picture chz\chernobylzone\data\ui_chernobylzone_ca.paa not found"

They do not effect gameplay in anyway other than having to close the dialogue box before doing anything.

So i got the new arma 3 update today on 5/30/2016 and the it changed the lighting for this map, as in everything is bright until my draw distance ends then its all black. I have it set to 1915 everything until that distance is a bit too bright and then its just a black wall. Any fixes for this issue?

It seems the Chernobyl map still has the gray to black skies problem after I updated CUP terrains, although the CUP maps look way better now. Ah well.

Someone posted earlier about popup errors with terrian_stancia.paa and others. I get that too. I have removed the A2 PBO as suggested, but still get the errors.

Greetings! First off let me say, you did some amazing work there, keep it up!

My buddy and I are working on setting up a DayZ (Arma2OA) server, so we explored every corner of the Zone, at least of what's done so far.
Here are some bug reports & feedback. I guess you'll already know a few of those, but I'll list them anyway just in case.

Graphical bugs:
1. flashing water, changes color all the time
2. sun and moon look really ugly, also the moon is blinding you if you stare at it.
3. some wall & floor textures on most unique buildings are stretched and distorted.

Building bugs:
4. In the hospital near the end of a larger hallway is a staircase without collision
5. the stadium building parts are not aligned, you can look and even fall thru some gaps
6. the building west of the greenhouses has no collision (the one with a placeholder texture on the fence)
7. land_chz_lod2_chz has collision bugs when trying to get onto it at certain spots
8. both instances of land_chz_hallofresidence_01_01 are misaligned with other parts of the building, leaving gaps. Also there are trees inside the building
9. there are lots of trees and bushes placed on the roads of Pripyat
10. land_chz_skola_03: parts of the entrance stairs have no collision
11. land_chz_pristav2: not able to jump/vault thru the big broken windows
12. land_chz_univermag: somewhere in the building is a hole in the floor, supposedly an unfinished staircase?
13. the right part of land_chz_autobusova_zastavka has no collision
14. land_chz_janov_b_02: staircase has no collision
15. in the fir forest SE of Pripyat, a pipeline blocks the dirt road
16. the ground around Sidorovich's bunker is slightly hovering in the air

other issues:
17. GPS coordinates have only 1 digit per axis
18. most if not all trees & bushes face same direction, looks bad when looking at a row of plants. If you turned the plants into random directions, it would look much better.
19. 100 Rads is missing ;)

Version 1.62
Map 0.45
1. Connecting Bridges over the Water from the Main Power Plant cannot be passed(vehicles) due to the ground having no collision at the endings.
2. Dirt Ground at Sarcophargus can be walked but not driven via vehicle. Also a small wall there has no collision and one falls through the dirt.
3. Ladder at the silo/industrial tower building east of the main power plant not working. Also no connection to upper levels because of BROKEN DOWN STAIRS(whyy) and metal bars.
4. I'm sure you're aware of this but almost none of the buildings at the main power plant have collision which is a shame! It's the most interesting place of all!

But seriously huge respect for the effort you put into this. So many enterable buildings and new objects. Thank you for doing this! Can't wait for further updates so I can have the missions I envision^^

I wrote that CHNPP is not finished and it is placed only for fill empty place. I'm working on new collision and it is very slow.

And don't forget - I'm making map in my free time and for free!

Im hosting a server to make official server of your map ;)
BUT, when i host map from my computer there is no problem (at least for me i dont know about others who join) but if i try to host map from server like in nitrado, when someone join (me or others) IA is like disappearing and swimming in air, same things about ryan zombis, they are like lost and jumps everywhere without sens :/

Your map has very big potential and i want help you, and make server know with your work, really, but this problem obligate me to play without stuff and PNJ and its not possible :/

Yeah, I don't have it open right now, but there are 2 brown rectangular areas on the map, lower part of Pripyat. Use the plain map mode to find them. They stand out once you know what to look for.

A few issues I noticed with the map. Hopefully these help.

Stairs in the community pool on the ends have to be vaulted onto before you can walk up them.

Dirt pile to access the pool invisibly extends about 3 feet higher on the left than it shows. Shooting things on the left side of the pile can be impossible even though you can see them clearly for this reason.

I adore this map by the way. I'm a massive STALKER fan, and this might be my favorite ARMA map ever. Keep up the excellent work.

Well, if elevation is meaned as terrain height, then you are right. It is done to be able create map in engine. It is nice that you (or somebody) created precisely heightmap, but Arma is simulation of real army, so I suppose there is not important 2 or 4 meters in height of terrain.
So, about collaboration, I'm imagining that you make some models or objects, but sources of terrain will stay at my hard drive.

I disagree. I and many other people who have played the map on our server think that terrain height is VERY important. Especially in a military simulation, where every little hill and every short ditch can and will be used to take cover.
Right now the terrain does not look realistic at all, except for the northern swamp and desert area. The rest is just flat and should have more variation. I don't know how it looks in the real Chernobyl Zone, but I don't think it is completely flat like that.
I hope you will consider my thoughts for future versions. Keep up the good work!

Omg, I mean only created terrain, Pripyat, swamps. I wrote it everywhere - map is NOT finished including terrain. And I know that terrain is not flat, there are very small hills.
By height I mean comparison to real height of terrain.

Hi, great map. I play the Arma 2 Dayz version.
There is only 1 public server, 'Refugium Cherobyl', which uses 0.40.

I just wondered if kindergartens in the city are placeholders ? Because almost every enterable building is a kindergarten.

Also, the hospital doors on the top floor have no clipping, and you just fall to your death if you are not careful.
